Kinship Care
More than 43,000 people in Washington are caring for a relative’s child. The financial, legal and emotional issues of raising a relative's child can be challenging. Services and support as you learn to negotiate the system can be a lifesaver. The Kinship Caregiver Support Program is funded by Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington.
We provide assistance with:
- Finding local resources and services
- Reducing or removing barriers to care
- Helping navigate through government systems
- Funding based on eligibility to help with basic necessities (food, clothing, rent, school supplies, etc.) for the child(ren).
