Co-Deployed

Mental health clinicians partner with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office and the Spokane Police Department to humanely and safely respond to behavioral health crises. The teams assist individuals with accessing treatment and resources to divert them when appropriate from the criminal justice system, emergency department, and inpatient psychiatric treatment. By accessing multiple partners such as providers, primary care providers, Trueblood resources, and the Crisis Diversion Unit (CDU), co-deployed teams provide holistic support to individuals inclusive of crisis de-escalation, brief screening and assessment, brief intervention, transportation, and referral to appropriate community resources.
